What names are the most chavvy do you think?

Sorry to come back to this, but my husband always finds the very posh names rediculous - Crispin, Orlando, Algernon, Candida, Arrabell and Henrietta. It works both ways.

Unfortunately some names do get a bad reputation because they are favoured by certain types of people (insert your own word/description). Once I've heard a name screamed in an awful way, or see a little boy with it that has maybe a mullet and earring then the name is ruined for me. Shallow? Maybe so, but that's a gut reaction., although I wouldn't judge a child or even adult with said name. though possibly would make assumptions.

I'm due in July and have picked up a tonne of names from this thread, thankyou Grin

Anyone who would like a 'laugh' at chavtastic names should do a search on my name and chav names...have started a couple of posts about it as they are the names I like, I care not a jot Smile Be warned some of you may need to bleach your eyes after viewing though Grin

Any name you hear on The Only Way is Essex or that equally disturbing Scousewives, Jeremy Kyle or even Jerry Springer... Any name that is spelt with way too many letters or not enough, or written in "txt" talk... also I like to refer to them as trailer-trash names as not to offend the lovely chavs out there... but saying that My daughter came hoem from school and announced shes playing a chav in the drama play- her drama coach recommended she watch some Eastenders...

Herecomeshesun - I think it's more the shortened forms of names that are considered "chavvy" to some which is a bit of a contradiction as Alfred nn.Alfie, Charles nn. Charlie, Frederick nn. Freddie, Oliver nn. Ollie etc.. aren't chavvy at all but could (obviously only by some!) be considered so if the shortened form is the child's full name.

Personally I prefer long/full names but that is just me and not because I have delusions of grandeur as am happy to embrace my chav side too!

Archie and Harry are names that seem to cross over. I know lots of far from chavvy Archies for example...

Generalizing a lot here as personally I would choose a name I like and not one that is too chavvy or posh or whatever so not sure what that makes me!
