Arlo?

Due DC3 in June, have two boys - Oliver and Toby. I like Arlo but there are none at all in our area, Oliver and Toby (particularly Toby) are still considered quite unusual where we live so not sure if Arlo would be a bit much?

Any suggestions would be a great help, will not be finding out gender and although we have no girls names in mind at all I don't think we will struggle to find one we like nearer the time.

I love Arlo! It's goes really well with your other ds's names.

FriggFRIGG · 15/01/2012 22:38

My DS is Arlo.

I Adore it.Smile

We live in an area where it is unheard of,
Most people love it...some,notsomuch...but who cares.
I smile everyday when I get to say his name.

Go for it!

Butdonttell anyone else,we don't want it getting too popularGrin

ednurse · 15/01/2012 23:04

It sounds sweet but I wouldn't use it as live by a town of a similar name which sounds like it when you drop the H, which most people do Wink

JestersHat · 15/01/2012 23:06

I really like it :)

Dilligaf81 · 15/01/2012 23:09

There are 4 Arlos in our local Primary - strange as names Im always being told are far too popular (Poppy, Chloe etc) have only 1 of each.

Love it though.

Fo0ffyShmo0ffer · 15/01/2012 23:09

My DS is Arlo ! Natasha Kaplinksky copied me the witch ! ( she didn't really as I don't know her but my Arlo was born first !)

Dilligaf81 · 15/01/2012 23:10

Also for a girl I love Codie (one of the Arlo's sister)

Arlo is a great name so go for it. We have an Arlo and are trying to decide on a name for our DS due in a couple of months. Strangely Oliver and Toby are on our list!

BreeVanDerTramp · 17/01/2012 10:26

Thanks everyone it is top of our list and think it goes well with our other DS's names also fine with it being a bit middle class, coz we is, innit Wink

Babaj · 17/01/2012 16:01

I know two under the age of 1! Very strange as it seems unusual, but I think this year it's going to be very popular!
Think Johnny Knoxville named his little girl Arlo...

toobreathless · 17/01/2012 18:24

Love Arlo.

Bree: where on earth do you live where Oliver is considered unusual?

BreeVanDerTramp · 17/01/2012 22:36

Too I live in Fife, Scotland have just moved here there seems to be lots of Jacks and Alexanders but no Oliver's! There were 3 Olivers in his old nursery class before we moved so quite shocked here! Grin
