Cas for a boy????

I'm due a c-section in just over a week for dc4, who appears to be a boy. We have only had girls so far, so a boys name should be easy....no!!!

The only name that I can vaugely accept from dh is Cas. He is playing hardball because DD3 was a Cassius until she was born a Pearl. I'm happy to keep Cassius, Cassian or Casper, but he doesn't like any (he knew a Casper he didn't like). Anyway, I do like (and suggested) Cash. I really do like it but dh works in finance and, really, we would look like complete wankers calling our baby that. Could Cas be short for anything else??? Reluctant to just use Cas as too much like Cassandra. I also like Ned and Oneo (o-neigh-o), which I think is a Nigerian name (no Nigerian connection, just like it.

Any sugggestions???

Cassius, Cassian and Casper are all fine :)

I don't think you could shorten Casper to "Cash" so why not go with that one? :)

Oh, just read more carefully and your DH doesn't like Casper. Not many other Cas names out there... Cassidy? Caswell? Cassiel?

Cas reminds me of casser (to break) in French.

Oneo is quite cool and looks more like a proper name.

Caspian?

hairytaleofnewyork · 15/01/2012 11:45

I like just plain "cass"

Ah yes, lockets, and I have another with the same name as one of yours!!!

Dh has now suggested Cache (hmmm...). Then said he'd compromise with Cassian (??). I actually really like Cass, however, we are Australian and will eventually move back home. From what I remember Cass is very much a girl's name and I want to give him some alternative! I think we need to find our way on a variation of Cass.... I do tend to get my way on names, so I sort of feel obliged not to let dh be the one doing the compromising...

Chas is short for Charles, maybe Cas could be too?

Or Casey. I have a really good friend named Casey James, so I've always liked it. :)

Castor/er like Caster Troy, the character played by Nicholas Cage in Face Off? He's referred to as Cas throughout the film. Although he's a baddie he's kind of a goodie too! Fab film and I love Nicholas Cage....
