Elodie (Ellie?) and Isaac

Please can I have your opinions on my 2 choices? Our surname is one syllable.

Elodie Cecelia for a girl. Can Elodie be shortened to Ellie? Is the full name a bit of a mouthful? Does that matter?

Isaac Henry for a boy. Is Isaac a bit unfashionable? We liked Zachary/Zach, but it's getting a bit too common.

The middle names are my late grandparents.

Thanks

Lovely!

Both gorgeous names. You have good taste Smile

JestersHat · 14/01/2012 18:43

Lovely but I'd use the traditional spelling Cecilia.

scottishmummy · 14/01/2012 18:46

Like both the names
Isaac is trendy btw

OriginalJamie · 14/01/2012 19:29

I like both of them, but I'd do all I could to stop people using Ellie. Sorry I don't like it

Love 'Elodie', very chic. Isaac a bit Old Testament for my taste, but Zak (which I guess it would be shortened to) is nice.

TickledOnion · 14/01/2012 19:59

Thanks JestersHat Blush. I thought my spelling looked wrong, I meant Cecilia.

Thanks for all the opinions. Nice to have so many positive comments. I don't want to ask anyone in RL and I find it hard to be objective when DH and I have spent ages trying to come up with something that we both like.

Elodie is gorgeous. I know a Zacheriah who goes by Zac. Lovely name also.

Elodie is a beautiful name but be prepared for it to be shortened to Dee.
