Barney??

I love this name for our first DC if it's a boy, what's the general feeling?

I like it. I may be biased though. I know a barney and he is the lovelest young man i know!

Barnaby/Barney is a great name but I am biased

I have no problem with the name as such...but am with Faverolles and think of the most irritating big purple monster!

Love it. Don't think barney the dinosaur is that popular in the UK.

Another biased one here but I love it. nearly 14 now and has never once been compared with a large purple dinosaur.

It sounds a little childish/silly to me. Don't know whether it's because of the purple dinosaur association or the -ney ending. I guess I prefer more 'solid' names personally.

I thought it was a slang term for a big hairy fanjo.

But it is a patronising purple dinosaur as well.

Love it, but again I know a rather lovely one first heard it and thought - yuk- but truly love it now.

Our friends had a lovely cocker spaniel called Barney

I like it too. It was one of our top 2 boys names.

Dh has an Uncle Barney, short from Bernard. I prefer Barney!
