Should I go for Florence jack or Sophie jack? Thanks

I like both, but my vote goes for Florence.

3boysgirlontheway · 10/01/2012 14:17

Did you not just ask this yesterday or is my baby brain worse than I thought?

Florence gets my vote anyway!

kerala · 10/01/2012 14:20

If you go for Sophie prepare for there being at least 2 others in most of her classes.

CecilyP · 10/01/2012 14:33

I like Sophie Jack. The thing about popular names today is that they are not nearly so popular as they were in the past. Just over 1% of baby girls were called Sophie in 2010, so you would expect one in each school year.

kerala · 10/01/2012 14:34

Suppose it depends where you live. There are 3 at dd s pre-school and 2 in other dd s class.

Littlecherublegs · 11/01/2012 11:43

Love Sophie - is on our shortlist!

SubordinateClaws · 11/01/2012 13:16

Neither! Go for something more unusual.

MrsJohnDeere · 11/01/2012 13:20

Florence. Sophie and Sophia are very popular here.

bigbluebump · 11/01/2012 14:43

Neither for me too. Both are very 'trendy' and widely used already.

NadiaWadia · 11/01/2012 14:58

Sophie is MUCH nicer - a really pretty and classic name. Florence is just stodgy, sorry.

ivyblue · 11/01/2012 15:00

Sophie - a lovely classic name.

exoticfruits · 11/01/2012 15:08

Sophie

ilovesprouts · 11/01/2012 15:09

sophie my 19 year old is a sophie Grin

MamaLazarou · 11/01/2012 15:16

Sophie! It's more classic and therefore less likely to date. Florence is pretty but a bit too trendy. Sophie is much nicer than Sophia, which is a bit overused at the moment, IMO.

tostaky · 11/01/2012 16:05

Sophie!!

Stars22 · 11/01/2012 19:04

Sophie!! Its my name, Im 26 and I dont hear of that many anymore I think it was quite popular around the 1990's but has been going down the top baby names list for a while.

seren82 · 11/01/2012 19:49

Sophie because it's my name too! I think Sophie Jack sounds nicer overall as well.

deste · 11/01/2012 21:29

My 25 year old DD is Sophie, it is a beautiful classic name. She was the only one at school with the name.
