What do you mums think of Zoe with the surname jack?

Zoe isn't Zoey is.

SmashCake · 09/01/2012 05:36

Absolutely not chavvy!

boyfallingoutofthesky · 09/01/2012 06:21

Zoe is lovely, not chavvy and not v popular at moment. Prefer it to Skye if I'm honest and it goes much better with Jack (think you were one who posted about Skye?)

Luckymuffins · 09/01/2012 06:30

Yes thanks. Thinking of Zoe, sophie, Sarah, Francesca, Emma, Julia, sasha, saskia, Lauren, Ellie, Alexandra or lucia... Which are your favourites?

Alexandra. Biased though as I have one!

Heavensmells · 09/01/2012 06:52

I hope not as it's my name! I've always quite liked my name if it helps. It's never really shortened to anything and I think it's one of those names which sounds as nice as a baby/toddlers name as it does for an adult IYKWIM.

flopsy1974 · 09/01/2012 08:08

Zoe is a lovely name and not many little ones about Smile

NorksAreMessy · 09/01/2012 08:11

but it does need an umlaut (two little dots over the letter e)

froggers1 · 09/01/2012 08:11

It's on my list but am trying to discount it because some friends just had a baby called Zoe...we only see them twice a year though..do you think it would be OK if we used it too? It was on my list last time but had a boy!!

NorksAreMessy · 09/01/2012 08:11

it is my niece's name and she is cut-glass posh :)

Polkadotfanatic · 09/01/2012 13:22

Zoe with the diaeresis (umlaut) above the e. Deffo not with a y :)
It's gorgeous and means life. Love Greek names.

Greythorne · 09/01/2012 13:33

Zoë is lovely
Zoey less so

OnlyANinja · 09/01/2012 13:34

No.

OlympicEater · 09/01/2012 13:35

Totally not

snice · 09/01/2012 13:39

Its fine but I think your surname sounds better with a name with more syllables like Francesca or Alexandra

MamaLazarou · 09/01/2012 14:42

Zoe is lovely. Not too popular but not wacky. Just right IMO.

I like all your other names apart from Ellie and Lauren.

user59457812 · 09/01/2012 17:30

Definitely not. The grown up Zoe's I know are certainly on the posh side! My poshest friend would have called his DC Zoe if it was a girl. I don't know any little ones so it's due a resurgence.

I love Sasha too.

diddl · 09/01/2012 17:37

I like it.

Also Chloe.

Like Saskia & prefer Ella to Ellie.

mathanxiety · 09/01/2012 18:19

Love it. Short and sweet, and one of those names that is familiar but unusual at the same time. Goes well with Jack.

zoe88 · 09/01/2012 18:22

I really hope not Grin

GirlWithALlamaTattoo · 09/01/2012 21:52

I once met a grown up Zoe known as Zoo, so it is shortenable if you wish! Lovely name and not at all chavvy.

CecilyP · 09/01/2012 22:16

Don't think it is at all chavvy. It was very popular 15 or so years ago but not so common now. I like all your choices but am not too keen on Ellie or Julia with your surname. You can definitely go with a long first name with a short surname.

seren82 · 09/01/2012 22:29

I think Zoe is nice and goes quite well with your surname, as do Francesca and Lauren. Definitely not Julia, although it is a lovely name!

allcatsaregrey · 09/01/2012 22:35

I have a Zoe and she is always getting complimented by people for having such a pretty name. It was a last minute change of decision for us and I am so glad I did it as I still love the name.

wigglesrock · 09/01/2012 22:35

Its a really lovely name and you don't hear it that often now. I also really like Sarah.
