Other than Amy or Milie, what nns are there? Really like Amelia but it's a bit of a mouthful to say all the time!

I also have a niece called amelia and she is Millie.

My friend has an amelia, she is mimi. Which I love.

We have an Amelia, had planned to use Amy as a nn but it didn't catch on really. For a while after ds started talking he called her Minna but she didn't like the rest of us calling her that.

I think nicknames have to evolve really. You'll find something that suits you and her.

I know an Amelia who goes by Mia, which I think is lovely. I did consider it for DD but it just wouldn't work with my surname. I don't think Mia's too popular at the moment either, though I could be wrong!

Randomly my friend's daughter (Amelia) gets called Pond by some of her relatives (believe it has something to do with Dr Who ?!!!)

The Amelias I know their nn are Meli, Mimi, Minnie and Amy. I like the nn Meli best. Another two are always called Amelia in full. It is a beautiful name so why shorten it at all?

Wow, I didn't realise I knew so many Amelias! Ages range from babies to middle aged women - all of which are lovely.
