Is there anyone in your family whose name would work? Our daughter's maternal granny and paternal great granny have the same name and we used this for her middle. My middle name is my maternal granny's, my sister's is my mum's and my husband has his Dad's. I think it's nice for middle names to have a family connection. Of course if you can't stand your family this isn't the way to go! Smile

Flamegirl77 - why hadn't I thought of this before!?! My middle name is Claire after my aunty and the baby is due on her birthday... It's like it's actually meant to be!?! Ella Claire.... Oh no.... That sounds like Eclair doesn't it??? Oh well, back to the drawing board!! Grin

DD1 is Ella Rosa, which we both loved and coincidentally was both DH's great-grandmother's name and my great-aunt's name. It also gave her the slightly royal initials ERH Grin.

MsTimTam · 08/01/2012 09:43

I've got an Ella Grace so slightly biased Wink

guinealady · 08/01/2012 14:06

I know an Ella Mary. Think both names are lovely - Mary was chosen for family reasons.

Hulababy · 08/01/2012 20:47

I think it needs to be one syllable.

My first thought was Ella Grace.

Northernlurker · 08/01/2012 20:49

Plase call the poor mite Eleanor instead and use Ella as a nickname. Lots more options and much easier to be a divorce lawyer or aged Professor of Greek called Eleanor.
