37 weeks with DC4 and no idea of boys or girls names. This is the 1st time that DH and I just cannot agree. I love traditional/ old fashioned names but DH hates everything on my list. Our DCs names are Oscar, Isabella and Jonah so needs to go with those. Please help I would hate the poor baby to be nameless!

We're def on the same wavelength, Kipplin. I like all of those but not sure if I love any of them. This is so hard!

Thanks everyone, lots of food for thought. I will put them to my DH and see what he thinks. I realised last night when looking through previous posts that I really like long names that can be shortened. Any more ideas?

Dominic, Benedict, Frederick, Tobias
Elizabeth, Marianna, Vivian, Penelope

CheshireDing · 07/01/2012 17:17

I love these names too :- Tabitha, Greta.

What about Florence or Francesca then (Flo and Fran) or Victoria?

Can't think of anything for boys.

oscybella · 07/01/2012 19:59

Florence is one of my favourite's but DH won't agree to it. :-( What does everyone think of Edward nn Ted? Agnes or Agatha nn Aggie?

Also we both like Elizabeth but I don't like Liz, Lizzie or Beth. Any thoughts on nn's?

ViolaCrayola · 07/01/2012 21:27

Bess, Betty, Liza...?

ViolaCrayola · 07/01/2012 21:29

Betsie, Eliza...

JestersHat · 07/01/2012 23:39

I like Edward, not sure on Agatha though.

CheshireDing · 08/01/2012 00:00

Ted is cool for Edward. What about Eliza/Elisa for Elizabeth?

CheshireDing · 08/01/2012 00:01

Agatha etc make me think of ABBA

oscybella · 08/01/2012 15:38

I think we might be coming to a compromise on a girl's name. Do you think Elsie is an acceptable nn for Elizabeth?

OP posts:
JestersHat · 08/01/2012 18:16

Yes Elsie is a nice nickname for Elisabeth with an "s".
