We are due to have our second DS very soon and starting to panic about names already. Our first DS is called Arlo and I can't for the life of me think of a name for his brother. Any ideas to get the ball rolling woul be greatly appreciated

I love Otto, Inigo and Jago but they may be too "o-ey"?

my ds4 is Rudi Arlo :) his brothers are Theo(dore), oscar reuben, and dylan lucas, they all go nicely :)

phatcat · 05/01/2012 20:28

I know an Arlo who has little bro called Cole - v. cool imho

bigyellow · 05/01/2012 21:11

Some great names. Think I would like to go back towards more traditional names like the Williams or Henrys but not sure whether names like that would 'sit right' with Arlo

I know an Arlo & Jimi. Pretty cool.

jaffacakehips · 05/01/2012 22:26

I like classic names, however i'd love to be brave and use Otis etc. However since you already have an Arlo (imo) i wouldn't go too 'normal'

Arlo and Riley
Arlo and Jude
Arlo and Jasper
Arlo and Rudy
Arlo and Kit/Kitt
Arlo and Orlando - Wow that's a tongue twister Grin
Arlo and Noah
Arlo and Merlin
Arlo and Avery - Not a huge fan of having multiple 'A' names however think Avery is fab
Arlo and Otis
Arlo and Otto - To "O'ie?
Arlo and Jem (Jeremy)
Arlo and Finn
Arlo and Stan(ley)

Any good bigyellow

jaffacakehips · 05/01/2012 22:29

If you wanted more 'classic' names

Arlo and Billy (William)

Oohhhh

Do another O - That sounds fab.

Arlo and Milo

or

Arlo and Theo.

Probably the latter if you hate the tweenies.
Theodore if you want traditional then nn it.

But Arlo and Theo sounds good.

Guthrie? Lovely.

TopazMortmain · 07/01/2012 03:29

Harry! Smile

bigyellow · 07/01/2012 13:39

Yes Arlo Guthrie was the inspiration for our first. The song goodnight little Arlo still makes me cry when I listen to it.
Loving theo actually so might go for that one.
Thanks for all your suggestions. This baby naming thing is so hard!

My son is an ArloGrin

Best.name.ever.

I also love Oisin,
but for a more traditional name I always thought Edward was lovely, with lots of nickname possibilitys ( I love the idea of a little Teddy)

Edward and ArloSmile
