we really like the name holly for a girl, it's really the only name we can absolutely agree on but the baby will be a late spring/early summer baby and i have a real thing about baby hollys being winter babies. dh says i am being daft (and i know he is right really) but what do you reckon? does it matter?
still have lots of time to decide but dd was her name from about 15 weeks, because at that time it was the only name we could agree on

I have an August born Holly and no one bats an eyelid! I am the opposite to you in that if I were to use a 'seasonal' name I would want to use it AWAY from that season, IYSWIM!

I have a July 'May' and no-one assumes she was born in May! Holly is a really beautiful name.

i love 'may'; my gran was a january may, and i would love to use it as a middle name, might have to work on dh though

We have a spring Holly too. I think it's a really lovely name - classic but still fits in with sounds of modern names.
