Middle name suggestions for Max/Maximus

Ds3 is due in 9 days (and counting!) and we've managed to eventually agree on Max or Maximus for a first name, but are now stuck for a middle name!

Dh has suggested Maximus Bailey, but I'm not 100%. Surname is short, 4 letters, one syllable and dead common!

Henry, Tristan, Dylan, Jerome, Elliot, Oliver, Luke?

Your maiden name?

I'd say it depends on whether you go with Max or Maximus.

If you go with Max, then I'd go for a longer middle name ie:
Max Sebastian
Max Nathaniel
Max Anthony

Though if you go with Maximus, then I'd go for a one syllable middle name, ie:
Maximus James
Maximus Gabe
Maximus Tait

choose a name that reflects Mum's family. Like her maiden name, or the name of the child's uncle/paternal gfather, or the masculine form of her first name, if any.

Or use Dad's first name.

Maximus Decimus Meridius Grin

Max is on our shortlist but there is no way I can use Maximus due to the fact my family would think we named our son after Gladiator.

I agree with 3isamagicnumber that if you go for the shorter first name, pick a longer middle name.
