Popular boy names?

I feel that Alfie and Charlie are really popular names at the moment. In every baby/toddler club there is one of them, or both. Once met baby twins: alfie and Charlie. Any other names that are really popular at the moment?

The ONS survey will tell you for sure.

Round here it seems to be Jo/Joseph (by quite a long way), also Sam, Ollie/Oliver, and William.

comedaygoday · 12/12/2011 17:20

Here it's Oliver / Ollie, Jacob / Jake, Archie and Thomas that are.the most popular names. I don't know any pre-school Noah or Samuels despite these apparently being very popular names.

LaTristesse · 12/12/2011 18:18

Lots of Noahs here, and Archie, Isaac, Jake too as well as all those names like Jayden...

I don't really know that many babies but out of about a dozen there are FOUR Sam's, THREE Max's and two Jacks. I only know two boys born in 2011 without those three names, my ds and one Miles.

Lexi? For a boy? Really?

MamaLazarou · 13/12/2011 15:02

No Charlies or Archies round here - or, none that I have met, anyway. The popular boy names are:

Edward
Oscar
Max
Zak
James
Ethan
Reuben
Oliver

comedaygoday · 13/12/2011 16:17

I had forgotten Ethan, that is really popular, as are Lewis and Lucas

3isamagicnumber · 13/12/2011 20:55

Recent names I've heard are Archie, Sam, Harry, and Noah.
