Cyclizine and nausea

Just wondering how best to use it as I've used buccastem in previous pregnancies.

I'm about 7 weeks and the vomming hasn't really started properly just feeling sick alot - usually kicks in big time at 8 weeks (this is pg no 4 so I know what to expect).

So do I use it like Buccastem and take a tablet when the nausea hits or do I use it prophylactically and take it at regular intervals. ANd do I start now before it kicks in or wait til it's bad? The pharmacist was pretty useless so thought I'd call on the pros!

Probably don't go with your surname anyway!

Good luck Grin

I was really hoping this was a mispost and not twins Grin

They sound like Roman gods of pregnancy (or maybe even war and mayhem) when you run across them on this topic.

Oh god.....Grin I think I might actually use those as names; there is a chance there could be twins in there as it was IVF. Nausea for a girl obviously.

I took it regularly. It made me sooooo tired but that was better than the sickness!

I took it 3 times a day, morning, dinnertime and bedtime and it was amazing imo! I had severe hypermisis and it really helped! In my case the hyperemisis had already started and I'd been hospitalised twice before starting cyclizine but it started to work after a few days so maybe start taking it now? I'd ring your midwife before doing so though just to be on the safe side.
