Thought on Siya...?

Even tho I'm convinced we are having a boy, we obv could be having a girl and I really like t name Siya - we are Indian and its means goddess. Only thing my DH pointed out is that, she might get teased a bit by other kids at school for sounding it 'c-ya' - I personally think its not that big a deal but can see it happening. I still really like t name and don't have any others on my short list...what would u do and what do u think of t name??

It's a nice name but yes I did think "see ya" and think others will probably think of this.

No sorry don't like it because it does sound like cya and your child will have to put up with a lot of teasing. I'm sure there are lots of equally nicer names to choose.

I honestly can't imagine her being teased for that. I think it's nice.

It is a boys name in South Africa where I live so that would put me off...

I like it! I didn't think of See ya at all. I thought of the Samoan name Sia.

I didn't think c-ya either, I love it! But I adore Indian names :)

How about naming her Siyona. Then you could call her Siya as a nn if you liked.
