Okay so bun number 3 is in the oven! we found out were expecting a liitle girl! which is nice because our other 2 are boys but were really stumped for names. with the twins there was no argument because we both got to name one I chose Mason Phoenix (I decided to have fun with the middle name) & the other one is Joshua Ashton (I did pick his middlke name which I would have loved to be his first name I also love Kai, Jayden & Reuben). I suggested naming her kaia then we could call her Kai for short lol! but computer says no. so we sort of decided on Evie - but c'mon there must be something more exciting out there! so I'll put some of the names I thought of below the ones with a * next to them are ones I'd like as middle names:
Annamie
Esme
Ella/Evie
Honey
Mia/Maia
Ebony
India/Indigo
Issy
*sugar rose
*star
I love Jade & Paige but unfortunately my sisters used them for her 2. I have loads more which I written down so I don't forget them ... only now I've forgotten where I've put it lol! I'm sure my memory loss wasn't this bad the last time!.

I love Esme.

HauntedHengshanRoad · 08/11/2011 07:22

These could all be seen as "common" and "chavvy", TBH. The fact that Jayden was on your list for the boys says a lot...

Annamie? Did you make that up?

Sugar? Honey? What sort of future do you want for the lass?

Rhubarbgarden · 08/11/2011 07:28

I like India. Very elegant.

Towndon · 08/11/2011 07:32

Mia is pretty, or Ella short for Eloise.

CandiceMariePratt · 08/11/2011 07:48

Kiah

AnaisB · 08/11/2011 09:04

Annamie - I've not heard this before and I don't think I like it.
Esme - love
Ella/Evie - I like them both. Evie especially is very common at the moment. So doesn't meet your criteria of being "something different."
Honey - OK
Mia/Maia - I like these a lot
Ebony - Don't really like
India/Indigo - much prefer Indigo.
Issy - short for Isabel?
*sugar rose - I'd definitely not use this. It sounds like the name of a child who is only dressed in pink with T-shirts that say "Daddy's Princess."
*star - I like this. (Also like Stella, Estelle, Seren)

Esme Seren?
Indigo Estelle?

SoupDragon · 08/11/2011 09:08

From the list, Esme, Ella and India. However, we clearly have very different taste in names :)

rachel234 · 08/11/2011 09:24

I too don't think I can help much as I have different taste - I would probably not have picked Joshua and Mason either. But thankfully we all have different tastes - how dull if we all chose the same names.

BUT I think most of your girls names go quite well with your existing boys' names - especially Mia, Ebony and India. Good luck.

SoupDragon · 08/11/2011 09:26

Some of the names from Cornish and Welsh will fit your requirements of "different but not too weird"

birdofthenorth · 08/11/2011 09:26

Love Esme and like Indigo.

I think Star would be a great middle name! Alhtough Indigo Star sounds a bit like Ringo Starr!

MrsOzz · 08/11/2011 10:47

Cora (nn Coco)
Renesmee (nn Ez or Ren or Mimi)
Sapphire/Saffron (nn Saffy)
Tamsin
Elowyn
Jaye (I have a 23 year old female friend called this and have never met another)
Sylvie/Silver
Honor
Eleni

I know an Issy short for Clarissa

Can't think of anymore!

I like:
Eleni Star
Seren Sylvie
Cora Jaye

MamaLazarou · 08/11/2011 14:49

If you are white, please don't name your child Ebony.

SoupDragon · 08/11/2011 17:12

Good grief, do not under ANY circumstances name your child Renesmee. It is a shit made up name, even for a half vampire child in a book.

Jemeraldx · 09/11/2011 22:13

firstly I didn't put these names for people to CHOOSE FROM I was hoping people would ADD to them they're the only ones I've come up with so far & I actually put that 'honey' 'sugar rose' & 'star' as middle names I wanted to have 'normal' first names & have fun (you know what that is right?) with the middle names I don't mind if people don't like what I've put (its just some have taken it soooo seriously! & you can get your point across without insulting me! (ever heard of tact?HauntedHengshanRoad ) but I would've liked to have known what you liked anyway this is just for a bit of fun after all & Annamie is fillipino after a very close friend of mine she used to called herself Anna because she didn't like the 'mie'! in all honesty I was never sure of that name I'm am aware that ebony is commonly used amongst blacks & although I like india but I think sort of think that suits asians mrs ozz thanx! Ilike all of them! thats gave me food for thought & soup dragon I'll have a look

Eh? Confused Hmm

MuddlingThroughItAll · 09/11/2011 22:40

If DC5 had turned out to be a DD then our number one name was Hero Kezia. We also loved Libi (hebrew spelling), Maya, Sorrell, Honor and Calypso (although I think I'm alone on that one Blush) Hope this helped a bit.

BabyDubsEverywhere · 09/11/2011 23:05

Jem, I think you will find my thread from last year quite useful, I seems to go for the kind of names deemed 'Chav' 'Common' and 'Modern' by mumsnet standards :) Im middle class as they come for what its worth, and cant stand the pretentious (to my ears) names that go on in my circles. Bothers me not a jot, I got a load of names i like from my thread last year by just being honest about the type of name i was looking for, unfortunatly the baby miscarried then, but pregnant again now and back to trawling the names boards :)

Congratulations

HeidiKat · 10/11/2011 11:15

I have a Natasha and it doesn't seem to be overly popular for baby girls now, haven't come across another one whereas Evie/Mia/India all seem a bit overused.

Arwhen · 10/11/2011 15:35

BabyDubs congrats on your pregnancy! Just checked out the thread and it is hilarious :) and very light hearted and respectful.
