Cara, but not Cara

i've posted about this name before, having my heart set on it for a while. Well today we've found out we are having a girl Smile and DH has finally confessed to me he's not all too keen! (I guess he must have been hoping for a boy to avoid the issue!)

I've been a bit unsure about it in some ways because I'd really like to have Carolyn as the middle name and was worried it sounded a bit wrong.

So I'm asking you lovely MNetters for some inspiration to come up with a name along the lines of Cara (unusual without being unheard of) that would go well with Carolyn as the middle name? The only other name I really like is Faye but DD1 has pinched that already Grin

www.nymbler.com/ might help you.

Some fab suggestions thank you.
Zara is lovely but it was the family dog's name when I was small so will probably get some stick if I chose that one.

I'm liking Kirsty and Lydia, will run them by DH

Thank you NoHunIntended I'm going to check out that website!

I know a few Lydias, Ciaras and Fayes so wouldn't class any of them as unusual nowadays

oohlaalaa · 04/11/2011 13:13

I love Cara and Faye too.

A name I like, but is v popular at the moment, is Isabel, with Bel as a nn.

PilgrimSoul · 04/11/2011 23:57

What on earth does it matter if it doesn't go with middle name? I cannot remember ever using my middle name in 40+ years. Choose what name you really really want for the first name - thats what matters.
