Gabriel/Gabe?

What do you think? Had a few negative comments but I love it.

I have a Gabriel, love it! At home he gets called by a nn for his middle name but at school and with friends etc he is Gabriel but never Gabe. I don't really like that nn, but that's just personal opinion.

Don't mind Gabriel - not one of my particular favourites but not a bad name at all. Gabe on the other and - NO NO NO!

I like Gabriel, but not Gabe. I don't think Gabriel needs a nickname really.

I have a Gabriel. He is always Gabriel and never Gabe. I really don't like Gabe though I love Gabriel.

I really like the name Gabe but it will depend on your surname as to whether it works. Mine starts with an M, assume it's Miller, and if you say it quickly you don't hear the B in Gabe and just hear Gay Miller.....

I love it! It is on my list so big yes from me! A strong timeless name. And I quite like Gabe as a nn but if you're anything like my family then his nn will in no way represent his actual name!
