Mah-raid. Rhymes with parade. Scottish/Irish form of Margaret, means pearl I think.

I think it is a variant of Sophia or possibly a nickname/corruption for/of Josephina.

My friend is Thea Louise.
I wouldnt go for a "ah" or "a" sound for middle name as well. (even though I like delilah, But not with Thea)
