I like Zoe as a first name - but what goes with it?

Elizabeth, Louise, Eleanor? Needs two+ syllables I think, and something fairly traditional, but can begin with either consonant or vowel as long as vowel doesn't make 'ee' sound.

I have a Zoe and really wanted to give her the middle name Charlotte but DH insisted on a family name instead...

Oh no! I thought I was getting consensus on a long name! Quite like Zoe Elizabeth...

Surname is long (many letters but only four syllables, which is something, I suppose)...

idrilis - what are these "one syllable simple old fashioned middle names" of which you speak? I refuse to use Rose (although I'm not exactly sure why).

ZuleikaJambiere · 25/10/2011 14:07

My middle name is Jeanne, so I also think short middle names work well

Fixture · 26/10/2011 00:27

Zoe Charlotte
Zoe Miriam
Zoe Emmeline
Zoe Georgina
Zoe Juliana
Zoe Louisa
Zoe Annabel

GreyTS · 26/10/2011 00:37

My Zoe's middle name is Eleanor but it's also my mothers name. Obviously biased but Zoe is a lovely name

hackneyzoo · 26/10/2011 00:39

i'm called Zoe and my middle name is Barbara, please don't inflict barbara on your child Grin

SlinkingOutsideInSocks · 26/10/2011 02:38

OP - I like you, purely for rejecting Rose! Grin There are, officially, enough little girls with the middle name Rose.*

Well I would never normally choose it myself, but I think Zoe Valentina sounds fabulous!!

  • This is TIC in case not blatantly obvious.
Thzumbazombiewitch · 26/10/2011 02:56

Zoe Clare

Mummy2LZ · 26/10/2011 03:31

I have a Zoe Kate Smile

CountingDown321 · 26/10/2011 09:15

Zoe Alexandra.

This was my top name for ages, then I realised the French pronunciation of Zoe would bug me too much! Sad (We live in France).
