I'm just bouncy around ideas - ie to put on list or not?

What do you think of it?

Marsh.Next!

babybumblebeee · 21/10/2011 01:23

terrible

GirlWithALlamaTattoo · 21/10/2011 08:54

I think it's dated - there probably aren't many outside the 25-35 age range. If it's special to you, though, bollocks to everyone else.

CandiceMariePratt · 21/10/2011 08:56

I know a boy called Jodie or is it Jody for a boy?

Fixture · 21/10/2011 09:04

I like it.

Similar names - how about Josie, short for Josephine? Or Judy, short for Judith?

BedatHogwarts · 21/10/2011 09:06

I like it for a boy. For a girl it's a bit......erm......horsey.

EdithWeston · 21/10/2011 09:08

I've met two boys called Jodie recently - one small one and one about 18.

It sounds like a nn to me: are you thinking of it as a BC name or a nn?

jellybeans · 21/10/2011 12:46

I like it and think it will make a come back.

lurkinginthebackground · 21/10/2011 21:30

I like it.

SaffronCake · 21/10/2011 21:40

It's a no from me, sorry. For me it's the Sandra of a younger generation. I can't see it coming back soon enough for a child named now to enjoy the retro-cool that happens when something has a come back.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 21/10/2011 22:35

I quite like it - bloomin' terrible for a boy though.

MelinaM · 21/10/2011 23:19

I think it is rather dated, and certainly more masculine sounding.

stressheaderic · 21/10/2011 23:25

I like it, but I like Joni a bit more.

Unlurked · 21/10/2011 23:28

Horrible. I went to school with a few jodies and they were all awful.

Even worse for a boy!

Unlurked · 21/10/2011 23:29

I like Joni and Jolie though Smile

PartialToACupOfMilo · 21/10/2011 23:32

I like it - Janie is nice too.

rockboobs · 21/10/2011 23:37

Joely is better.

HauntedHengshanRoad · 22/10/2011 12:22

It reminds me of the Spanish word for "fuck".

Rydwinhofficoffi · 24/10/2011 19:37

okay

couldn't decide Edith esp as couldn't think of what it could be short for anyway.

Well I feel maybe on maybe pile.

It's my name, I like it :)

diggityhiggity · 25/10/2011 00:12

DD2 is a Jodie. She is Judith on BC but no one ever calls her that. We did for a bit when she was born but after about 9mnths she was Jodie at all times.
I love it.
