Love this name, and thought it was rather unusual/underused...

However, MN browsing tells me it's apparently on the edge of a revival and I would hate to have a trendy name like Alfie where you can almost pinpoint the year of birth

What do you think?

(And I know some people don't mind, but my DS is one of 3 [insert name]s in his nursery group as always gets called by his name and initial and it drives me crazy!)

I love it but have wondered the same thing...

Rydwinhofficoffi · 20/10/2011 20:41

I really don't like it

Wilfred is a fab name. Definitely on the list for DS2 if we have one. Have seen it mentioned a few times on here which I guess means that it is becoming a bit more popular but I've never met another baby Wilfred yet and old-man type names are very popular in our area. If you like Wilfred but worried about popularity then hows about Wilbur instead?

I love it but it is definitely becoming trendy. I'd still use it though :)

It's a pig's name..... :)
