Any thoughts? Not keen on Wilfred, simply Wilf.

Thanks!

I really like it. I know one.

Kayano · 15/10/2011 18:06

I LOVE Wilf!!!
Their is. Regular poster with a son Wilf and I always hijack her threads to tell her I love it!

pickledparsnip · 15/10/2011 18:11

Is it becoming a bit trendy?

I like it. At school we do use WILF to share the learning objective expectations. 'What I'm Looking For' so it does remind me of that.

pickledparsnip · 15/10/2011 18:59

I've heard some people say Wilf is used a as a term meaning a bit of a wally. Maybe a regional thing? Not heard of it down in these parts (Southwest). Haven't met another, and don't think it's one of those names that will be suddenly become hugely popular (although you never know!).

Feedback from friends and family hasn't been great, but I really don't care. Am surprised really, I think it's one of the coolest names ever!

I like it. My granda was called wilf or wilfie by his older sister...his name was william..

babybumblebeee · 15/10/2011 19:30

I think it's very trendy and hip. I love it :) I know of 3 little Wilfs but they are all Wilfred.

fastweb · 15/10/2011 19:39

I love it.

But I ambiased, cos it is BIL's (and DS's godfather's) name.

So it always makes me smile when I see it.

littlemisslozza · 15/10/2011 19:43

I love it. I know one 3 year old Wilf (although he is called Wilfred and does get called that sometimes too, I also like that) and I think it is very cool!

RantyMcRantpants · 15/10/2011 19:43

I love Wilfred with the nn Wilf, it is a fabulous name.

And the Wilf who is an older son of a Mnetter is wonderful, a brilliant character who is gorgeous and loving and always makes me smile and I love hearing a out him.

Rhubarbgarden · 15/10/2011 19:45

Quite a few little ones in these parts. The new Alfie perhaps?

Fixture · 15/10/2011 19:52

I don't like it, sorry. Takes the "old man" trend too far. Would be slightly better with Wilfred as full name.

BridgetBust · 15/10/2011 21:03

Wilf - awful.
Wilfred - beyond awful.

I agree that it could soon be as popular as Alfie!

PavlovtheWitchesCat · 15/10/2011 21:41

Mollydoggerson · 15/10/2011 21:43
