Elijah, Caleb or Noah?

My current faves for boys are all on a biblical theme! Which do you prefer? Loved Noah for years but now I'm worried it's ubiquitous!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I like Elijah best of those :) Noah is a bit faddy and Caleb a bit clunky.

spiderlight · 05/10/2011 12:58

I love Elijah (desperately wanted a little Eli but OH didn't like it), and Caleb was also on my list.

purpleturtletoise · 05/10/2011 13:03

I have two of those three! I know several boys with each name - which I think goes to show that they are quality names.

twolittlemonkeys · 05/10/2011 13:05

I know children with all those names. Like all three but my favourite is probably Elijah

birdofthenorth · 05/10/2011 13:35

Spiderlight yes my DH needs a little persuading on Elijah too! Not sure why, I think it's gorgeous

Purpleturtle you obviously have exceptional taste Smile

I love Noah. I like all 3 names, but Noah best :)

comedaygoday · 05/10/2011 13:56

I have an Elijah, now aged 3. It's a great name and my favourite of your suggestions. We don't know any other Elijah's IRL so at the moment it's not too common.

dearheart · 05/10/2011 14:14

I like Elijah, then Caleb. I loved Noah when pg 8 years ago - but now know several.

chickensaresafehere · 05/10/2011 14:15

My dd2 would have been a Caleb or a Rueben if she was a boy!!

chickensaresafehere · 05/10/2011 14:16

Sorry that should have been Reuben!!

Boobz · 05/10/2011 14:57

Hello Bird - you aren't about 6 days overdue are you...?

Caleb is my vote.

birdofthenorth · 05/10/2011 15:01

Boobz no, only just got BFP!! Is there another m2b out there with such good taste as to be mulling over this shortlist?!

Chickens DH & I both loved Reuben when pg with DC1... made the mistake of telling MIL who reacted like we'd said Adolf. That was the first and last time she was/ will be consulted on names!

Someone from another forum I'm on is nearly a week overdue with your names as well! Not a mum forum..

Anyway, Caleb (Cal) hands down.

Congratulations!

jezebelle · 05/10/2011 16:02

Noah is by far the best :) (i may have a 16 week old with that name :) )

I am pg again and Elijah is on the list this time round :)

birdofthenorth · 05/10/2011 17:28

Jez lovely taste in names! 16 week gap in between DCs- you are brave! And you may be my new hero, I shall tell my mum about you when she next moans my 13 month gap between pregnancies is too short!

Elijah. Gorgeous, gorgeous name.

Offspring · 06/10/2011 03:46

Another vote for Elijah, followed by Caleb then Noah. All nice names though :).

jezebelle · 06/10/2011 10:33

It was so not planned !!! My ds was 11 weeks when i got a positive pg test !! still, i get to choose lovely names :) there was a 15 month gap between my 11 and 10 yr old !!

ShroudOfHamsters · 06/10/2011 13:21

Noah. Don't like Elijah at all - Eli sounds whiny. Caleb ok.
