How would you pronounce Rosalie?

birdofthenorth · 29/09/2011 12:32

Would you say

ROZ-ah-lee
ROSE-ah-lee
ROSA-lee
Roz-ah-LEE
Ros-ah-LEE

Or something else?

Think I've picked up differences in the emphasis as well as whether it's an S or Z sound in the middle. Which would you say, and do you like it? Thanks!

Rose-a-lee

Roz-a-lee is French, yes, but Rose-a-lee is English and it is also a very old English name.

Ross Orlaith Ee (by gum)

Sorry op. I used to work with a beautiful French "Roz a lee". At the same time I worked with a twit of an IT technician who called her "Roz". She corrected him every time. He did not or could not learn.

Beautiful name.
