Constantine - opinions?

Expecting DS2 and this is top of our name list - what are your thoughts?

We already have a DS called Roman Alexander and plan to use the middle name Patrick as it is a family name.

So what do you think - love it or loath it?

Love it Smile

Mollydoggerson · 26/09/2011 22:41

Like it, nice and unusual but still sort of classic.

BibiBelle · 26/09/2011 22:45

Wouldn't be my choice. He'll get Connie.

I love your other choses names.

What about Cassius/Cassian instead?

BibiBelle · 26/09/2011 22:46

Connie, Stan or Teenie if he's little Grin but still a no from me.

exoticfruits · 26/09/2011 22:53

I wouldn't like the name in the playground. Bound to be Connie.

LetThereBeRock · 26/09/2011 23:21

Awful.

suspiria · 26/09/2011 23:47

I love Constantine, it's a beautiful name.

AmberLeaf · 26/09/2011 23:54

You've not seen the film then?

rachel234 · 27/09/2011 08:34

I really like Constantine - classic, underused name. Goes very well with Roman.

I'd shorten to Stan or Tinny, if at all. I know a German Konstantin (pron. Kon-stan-teen) who used to get called Konti (Kon-tee) when he was little).

poppydaisy · 27/09/2011 08:41

I like Constantine.

MissWilde · 27/09/2011 18:44

It's great! Again I would shorten it to Stan if at all.

ByTheWay · 27/09/2011 18:48

After seeing the film - nooooooooooooo..... would always have negative connotations to me, chain smoking exorcist.... mmmmmm no.

meditrina · 27/09/2011 19:00

As Constantine ruled the Roman empire, it'll provoke some interesting sibling rows! (But they'll probably happen anyhow).

I think of it firstly as a surname, and then as a religious Christian name. I do rather like it.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 27/09/2011 19:01

Love it. I love Kostya as a nn but you'd need Konstantin for that I guess...

frutilla · 27/09/2011 19:02

I kissed a Constantine once....lovely name.

Rhubarbgarden · 27/09/2011 20:01

A bit long for me. Not the easiest name to carry off.

upatdawn · 27/09/2011 20:25

Love love love it!

FairyArmadillo · 27/09/2011 21:11

Love it. Roman's a lovely name too.

hulabula · 27/09/2011 21:21

I like it and it goes very well with Roman.

PercyFilth · 27/09/2011 22:26

Tino is another possible short form.

reallacecurtains · 28/09/2011 10:56

Love! Refreshing choice with many options for nicknames - Con, Stan,Tin Tin (sweet Smile or Tino Good luck!

kelly2000 · 28/09/2011 16:48

Sorry, but I hate it. Sounds like it is trying to hard to be unusual.

Kayzr · 28/09/2011 16:49

I love it!!! Goes so well with Roman too

MrsDmitriTippensKrushnic · 28/09/2011 16:54

I like it Smile

BTW, those referencing the film/comic book character - his name was actually John, Constantine was his surname.

AmberLeaf · 28/09/2011 16:58

John schmon...it still brings up scary memories!

It is a nice name, bit long for a first name IMO but I just see demons when I think of it!
