If you blank out the Simpsons connection and focus on the ancient Greek poet, this would be a lovely name. Homer.

I'm not even pg so no worries, there isn't a poor little boy about to be landed with this name. I'm just thinking.

He'd get called Homersexual.

Not that there's anything wrong with being homosexual, but an eleven year old boy would not enjoy this nickname.

(Disclaimer: am a secondary school teacher who has to do homophones. I also have two sons. I know what I'm talking about).
