I know a 3 year old called Clarissa.

Always thought it was a lovely name, and as far as I know no one ever shortens it with her.

I like it plus lots of options for nn.

I knew a Rissa as a child. There is also a series of kids books with q cool heroine called Rissa.

People will think it's posh. Not saying that's a bad thing- just people will.

I really really like it.

I think Larissa sounds nicer, more elegant. But Clarissa also nice.

The character is Silence of the Lambs was Clarice, not Clarissa.

Reminds me of the kids show "Clarissa explains it all"!

I have to say I think of Two Fat Ladies (on the right) when I hear Clarissa, but she was a good old bird.

Clarissa was one of the girls in Malory Towers, wasn't she? I always loved the name.

I used to make my parents call me Clarissa when I was younger lol. I like Clara :) x Clare x

I absolutely love the name. Think it will get divided opinions though, a love it or hate it type of name.
