Nothing ghastly about it at all :) but that is someone elses opinion I suppose. Never heard of Floyd the Barber and if Pink Floyd is the only "bad" connotation, then I think we are ok :)

I wouldn't choose Flynn personally but it doesn't bother me and I'm sure once people meet your Flynn, they'll start to associate his name with him (rather than hurricanes of drunk tv characthers .)

I like to think (having never actually met my father) that Keith Floyd was my dad. It's a shame he's dead as I think we'd have got on like a house on fire.

I'm not sure about Floyd as a first name though.

I am aware that this makes me sound unhinged btw. I can assure you that I am quite sane

My partner loves that name but I can't stand it. I couldn't even bring myself to let him name our dog Floyd. No particular reason why though!
