After all the nutty names threads there have been, am thinkin of good old solid traditional names.

Such as

Mary
Anne
Catherine

etc

Nice or too boring?

She will be the only one in the class. Wink

I think Mary on a willowy brunette is very chic.

SpidersAndVinegaroons · 07/09/2011 02:20

Catherine is a superful name.

And I have never been the only one in my class.

CheerfulYank · 07/09/2011 02:22

Love Anne and Catherine. Mary is nice but I like the other two better. My aunt (who is Mary :)) has Emily, Catherine (Kate), Jane, and Claire. I like 'em! She has a Joe and a Ben as well...

I have just had a Lillian Elizabeth. My mother thinks Its hideous and keeps asking me to reconsider.

CheerfulYank · 07/09/2011 04:01

Oh no, Lillian Elizabeth is so pretty! Congratulations. :)

tummytickler · 07/09/2011 07:54

I love them. Mary and Anne are both on our lists at the moment, along with Jane, Judith and Susan.

wigglesrock · 07/09/2011 08:28

Mary is lovely, I was at a christening of a Mary recently and everyone commented on how pretty it was. Its dd1s middle name, after both grannys Grin

CurwySwide · 07/09/2011 08:47

Mary and Catherine are very pretty - not so sure about Anne though, sorry.

Mary is lovely and is on our list. Main problem we are having is finding a middle name thst wouldn't make her sound like a nun or an American cheerleader.

BelleEnd · 07/09/2011 09:25

Lovely! Mary, Jane and Catherine are wonderful names.

PorkChopSter · 07/09/2011 09:27

Mary is lovely. But along with Janet, Fanny, Percy and Willy would be a name I'd avoid.

CheerfulYank · 07/09/2011 12:52

I don't think there is one comeday. :)

My aunt who is Mary is Mary Elaine...

mathanxiety · 07/09/2011 15:05

I know a Mary Claire (DD2's friend) and knew a Mary Frances in school.
Mary Antonia
Mary Anastasia
Mary Annabel
Mary Estelle
Mary Evelyn

Mary is a lovely name imo. Some great names on this thread.

plinkplonk · 07/09/2011 21:36

I like Mary and considered it for dd. Catherine is a wonderful name with multiple nn potential.

patindahat · 09/09/2011 20:32
