middle name for jemima

so although i'm open to other options, jemima seems to be the girls name i keep going back to although i am finding it hard to find the "right" middle name to go with it. first daughter is Beatrice Rose, when i named her i was planning on using the middle name rose for all my daughters so if i had more than one i could say i had a "bunch of roses". however, now i'm a bit older and wiser i can see that is a bit cheesy and unimaginative lol. my ideas so far are:
Jemima Florence
Jemima Violet
Jemima Catherine
Jemima Olive
Jemima Lucy
Jemima Sophie (not sure if this will go with out surname)
Jemima Pearl
our surname is 2 syllables and begins with "s" and has an "a" sound at the end. any idea would be great :) thank you x

Puddleduck?

Kirstle · 02/09/2011 11:48

Helpful Eeyore... Wink

I think your Rose idea, ok might be a bit cheesy, but also quite cute in a ''we're not taking ourselves too seriously'' way. Although, I dont think Jemima Rose sounds nearly as good as some as you have on your list... specifically Jemima Pearl. How about Jemima Jane? I love the sound of that...

Catsu · 02/09/2011 11:48

I like jemima pearl out of your list
also how about
jemima alice
jemima may
jemima grace

love puddleduck as a nn but we're too traditional to put it on a birth certificate eeyore Wink

scarlettlips · 02/09/2011 13:28

Whoops Jemima Daisy!!!! Can't spell x

PeanutGallery · 02/09/2011 13:59

Jemima Lily

Then you can say you have a bunch of flowers...

greenzebra · 02/09/2011 14:05

I was going to say the same as peanutgallery except Jemima Violet out of your choices as Violet is a flower.

Beautiful name choice love Jemima

AberdeenAngusina · 02/09/2011 14:24

Love Jemima Lily!

I like Jemima Lucy from your list; it goes well with Beatrice Rose. Don't like Jemima Florence; both good names but not together.

Cereal · 02/09/2011 15:41

I like all the middle names on your list :) I think Jemima Catherine or Jemima Pearl would fit very well with your surname.

Jemima Florence - Florence is nice, but the "ce" would run into the S of your surname
Jemima Violet - I like Violet but it's a bit rhymey with Jemima - too much "i" sound
Jemima Catherine - like, flows well and would go with surname
Jemima Olive - doesn't flow so well as it runs together "Jemima Rolliv".
Jemima Lucy - like, flows quite well but "cy" s sound too much with S surname?
Jemima Sophie - like
Jemima Pearl - like

patindahat · 03/09/2011 14:41

Jemima Iris?

naughtaless · 03/09/2011 14:47

I love the idea of flower middle names ie, Iris, Violet,
but I also like Jemima Posy

FleurTing · 03/09/2011 16:02

I too like the sound of Jemima Jane, plus Jane is not much used these days

overmydeadbody · 03/09/2011 16:05

Oooh yes, Jemima Jane is a good one.

plinkplonk · 03/09/2011 18:17

I was going to say Jemima Jane too!

MummysLittleSunbeams · 03/09/2011 18:34

I was also going to suggest a flower name as in 'bunch of flowers....

Jemima Blossom
Jemima Lilac
Jemima Jasmine
Jemima Lily
Jemima Pansy
Jemima Saffron
Jemima Fleur

Honestly don't do the Rose thing, just DON'T!!

mumofbumblebea · 04/09/2011 16:59

thanks everyone. i do like Jemima Jane but too many flippin women in our families have that as a middle name (i know, i'm picky). i think the current favourite is Jemima Pearl! (after Jemima Puddleduck obviously)
