So we're onto either Lachlan or Brodie for this one but I'm looking for more suggestions. We already have a Euan, Callum and a Fergus. I had dismissed Innes but heard it in a shop today and quite liked it.

Im stuck - poor we'd Fergus was nameless for 10 days - I want to get this one cracked before he pops out.

Angus, Hamish, Donald, Cameron, Innes, Struan, Blair, Campbell, Gregor - any of those appeal?

GoingToHelenaHandcart · 27/08/2011 19:03

Oh, and I have heard of a Ghillie, or Gillie, short for Gillespie, both much nicer than Gilles.

Carrotsandcelery · 27/08/2011 19:03

I love Innes and Struan. I know you can't have Struan but Innes is a brilliant, strong Scottish name. I would never make the associations your friend mentioned. Shock

Congrats btw!

lostlady · 27/08/2011 19:08

I like Lennox.

EsmeWeatherwax · 27/08/2011 19:13

As in Laird Hamilton the pro-surfer

GoingToHelenaHandcart · 27/08/2011 21:48

You do know that Nairn is the punchline in the to a joke, as in 'what is the fastest town in Scotland?'' Neeeeeeeeeeeeeairn. (sound of a Ferrari roaring past).

PorkChopSter · 27/08/2011 22:24

Can't you get Nairn biscuits?

I prefer Gregor to Gregory.

YouCantTeuchThis · 27/08/2011 22:31

Nairn - no! It would be like calling him Tamworth. Or Crewe.

STRUAN!

Thumbwitch · 28/08/2011 11:21

What about Arran? Or is it too similar to Euan?

(can I just say as an aside that I love Nairn's oat biscuits, especially the summer fruits and chocolate chip varieties :))

DecapitatedLegoman · 28/08/2011 11:22

Ah, Nurn, what a placeGrin there's even a Facebook page called "The Only Way is Nairn"!

sweetiesue · 29/08/2011 10:38

FoxyRevenger · 29/08/2011 12:59

Oh, I love Nairn as a name! Also know someone who named her son Elgin which I liked the sound of although would never be brave enough personally.
