It seems like you've already made up your mind. Yes, of course you have to choose the name you love.

But you've come her to ask for advice and some of us feel that Finn is very 'trendy' and too popular for our liking.

My 4mth old ds2 is Finn and suits him perfectly. My other 3 dc's have very common/traditional names and ds2 is slightly more unusual.

Finn all the way :)

No I haven't made up my mind. I am just expressing my view that popular doesn't equal bad and I am not stupid enough to choose something just because not many other people like it.

I don't really like either - Brody sounds very american (and doesn't travel well imo) and Finn is very common and very widely used round here (that I'm getting a little bored of it, tbh).

Brody.

If it were me I'd go with Brodie though as we have Scots heritage (the Brody spelling is American origin but I like that too)

Replying only to the title question.

I prefer Finn.

I'd like it better if it were short for something.

KikiRC · 20/08/2011 16:45

Do you like Bryn? It's got elements of both names, and goes well with Louis.

HattieBistro · 20/08/2011 18:22

Neither are my taste but if I had to choose I would go for Finn.

I do really like Phineas with the nn Finn.

Finn is nice - not sure if it goes with Louis though. There's a Brody in DD1's class at school, who is from the US and apparently he gets called 'Broody' by some kids in the playground little shits.

How about Oscar or Dylan?
