What do you think?

I know of only one, who is in her late thirties and spells it with one 'L'. I really like it. Your comments? x

AWFUL.

Cute nick name for a toddler though. What about Louise Gabriella or Louise Estella or Eloise Bella

Bandwithering · 08/08/2011 08:52

Or Lucy Eleanor nn luela

PS, I know why I don't like it. DId you ever see that American cartoon for adults 'king of the hill'. There was a character in that and her name was something like luella. She was a bit simple, sweet......... there was some hint that she was a product of incest.

Malvapoeding · 08/08/2011 08:56

I know one who is about 2, her mother is Canadian and her dad Texan - she has big blue eyes and blonde curls and a very strange canadian/texas/wiltshire cross accent developing :)

Great name! Unusual but pronounceable. Lulu for short!

It hasn't done Luella Bartlett the handbag designer any harm

onelily · 08/08/2011 10:27

its difficult to pronounce. Otherwise not bad. Btw what does it mean?

minipie · 08/08/2011 11:03

I like it, but I would think you've probably named her after the designer.

AnaisB · 08/08/2011 11:05

I like it too.

LetThereBeRock · 08/08/2011 11:38

It's awful. It's a bit 'Jim Bob,Mary Sue,Bobbi Jo. A bit 'redneck' really. It also has a rather ugly sound imho.

LauLauLemon · 08/08/2011 11:39

I like Luella.

My cat was Fable Luella. If I could have got DH on board DD2 would have been Fable Luella.

MsChanandlerBong · 08/08/2011 11:45

Reminds me of 'King of the Hill'/Redneck America too. Shame really, as it is a pretty name if you can get past those mental images.

MamaLazarou · 08/08/2011 12:57

It's really unpleasant.

Ephiny · 08/08/2011 13:03

I quite like it actually. You might find people pronounce it differently with the one 'l', e.g. 'lou-ay-la' rather than 'lou-ell-a'

spiderlight · 08/08/2011 13:07

It's a bit hillbilly for me, sorry.

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 08/08/2011 13:07

Reminds me of Cruella.

onelily · 10/08/2011 13:16

hehe.. i kinda agree with MyNameis....

belgo · 10/08/2011 13:16

I quite like Floella.
