OK we are considering the name Susannah for our DD due Oct.
I have read some threads on here about the name and peoples general opinion. The majority of people love the name and some have used it recently.

What are your thoughts on it becoming popular over the next few years? Currently sits at 1,583 in the 2010 stats.

1583? Think you're fine then. Grin

Seriously, it's a lovely name, go for it.

I really like the name, but my MIL is called Suzanne, so it's a no-go for me!!!

rachel234 · 03/08/2011 10:19

I'm not keen on Susannah, I'm afraid.

But if we all liked it it would be much higher up the charts. So you should be hoping for many not to like it Smile.

If it's at 1583 I doubt it'll be the next Evie or Olivia.

I much prefer it without the H at the end.

niccibabe · 03/08/2011 12:59

It's a lovely name, and I like the H at the end. I doubt it will become anything like as popular as Savannah - though some people may get them confused.

Haven't met a Susannah for years - have seen Trinny and Susannah on television - again not for years.

I like it (it's on list for DD2) but spelt the original way - Susanna.

Really lovely name, ticks all the boxes (classic, formal and informal - Susie - easy to say but unusual at the same time). Go for it!

Ephiny · 03/08/2011 14:23

I like it and am surprised it's not more popular actually - though maybe Susanna without the 'h' ranks higher in the charts? I think I prefer without the H actually, but it's nice either way.

Lovely, prefer Susan though (Susan is top on dh's wishlist for a girl)
Susie is a very sweet nn.

slugger · 03/08/2011 20:20

I really like it.

Personally would be wary of people shortening it to 'Susan' though, which I hate

scarlettlips · 03/08/2011 20:45

pranma · 03/08/2011 20:51

lovely- my friend had a Susannah nn Sukey which I like too

randomimposter · 04/08/2011 09:33

Love Susannah - with or without h actually. Like Anny as a NN myself.
