Middle name suggestions for Joseph please

DH and I are fairly set on Joseph for a boy. We are mulling over middle names and although we have a couple of ideas, nothing is setting our world on fire. We would like 'him' to have a middle name as the rest of the family do and wouldn't like him to be the only odd one out. Surname starts with a hard 'G' and includes a couple of hard 'K' and 'G' sounds throughout. Ideas so far:

Joseph Euan
Joseph Isaac (JIG?)
Joseph Samuel (bit of a tongue twister)
Joseph Max (although if shortened would become Joe Max which sounds like a private investigator to me)

Can you please share your thoughts or any further suggestions?

Thanks cheekster. Surname is 2 syllables. I like Joseph Thomas best of your suggestions and will add to the list. I also like Joseph Alexander but DH has said a definite no in the past so I don't think I'll be able to slip it past him!
