I currently have a little boy called Jasper and thinking of boys names for baby number 2 due at the end of the year. I think we have narrowed it down to these to and just wondering what people think? I think we are veering towards Austin but not met anybody with this name so wondering what general thoughts are on this?

I think Toby sounds best with Jasper

2cats2many · 29/07/2011 14:14

Toby= Toby Young to me. Yuck!

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 29/07/2011 14:46

Toby, Austin reminds me of the naf car make, sorry.

My friend who has a Jasper also has a Rafferty and a Reuben.

I prefer Austin.

I think of Toby as quite a "safe" middle class name.

rainbowtoenails · 29/07/2011 15:05

I think austin goes better. What about austen so it's less car-like?

minipie · 29/07/2011 15:21

Austin - I love this name (even though I usually go for traditional names).

Toby is nice too though.

ziggy99 · 29/07/2011 15:35

Thanks all - lots to think about here!

I know a lot of Toby's and no Austins. Personally I can't say that either one appeals to me... the Jaspers I know irl have brothers with names like William, Spike and Archie.

BulletWithAName · 29/07/2011 20:16

Austin, I really like it. Toby is a bit wet IMO.

MatthewWrightOffTheTelly · 29/07/2011 20:20

Much prefer Toby.

alliwant · 29/07/2011 20:23

Jasper was on my list too - along with Toby, Evan & Perry. We went with Tobias - Great name!!
