Does Cody work as a girls name? No matter how many times I say/write it I cant decide. Also like Cady but think it might sound like we're saying Katie which I really don't like?!

I rally like Cody for a girl, but wud spell it Cody, cos Codie reminds me of Codeine!

Like Cady too, its like Katie said in an american accent. The only time ive heard it is in Mean Girls (Lindsey Lohan's character)

My little boy is called Kodey every one spells his name wrong but I love it. They also call him a little some times because he has long curly hair. It is a lovely name.

It's a marmite name, goes well with Jayden and Maycie and their ilk. Not to my taste, but unisex, definitely. I know a boy and a girl Casey, similarly.

I have never heard of a boy called Cody, to me Cody is a girls name. We have Kayden which is sometimes nn Kaydie so Cady to me sounds more boyish.

BulletWithAName · 27/07/2011 20:32

No, I'd completely disagree with that. IMO, Cody is a boy's name and Cady is a girl's name.

I know a female Cody. She's a mental eleven year oldGrin

FullTimeStudentNurseAndMumOf3 · 27/07/2011 21:37

Didn't she have long brown hair and was friends with plain Jane?

DiscoDaisy · 27/07/2011 21:39

Know 2 girls called Kody and 1 boy called Cody.

emmanumber3 · 27/07/2011 22:09

I know two Cody's - one's a boy & one's a girl. It seems pretty unisex to me too Smile.
