Too weird?

Hi,

Is it too weird to spell a word with initials? Such as FAB Not on purpose but just how it works out with name choices. We like the middle name beginning with A, obviously this ends us spelling some words!

Also is it weird to have first name to start with same letter as Mum?

Thanks

I don't think it's weird to have same initial as the mother (some people will say it makes things confusing with post etc but really how much post do children get anyway?)

Spelling a word is a bit more of an issue. If it's a good word though (like FAB) I don't really see the problem. If it's a bad word then obviously avoid!

One thing to bear in mind for DDs is that if they change their surname on marriage then the word could change. Eg FAB could change to FAT which is not so great...

I guess I am thinking post etc, but I suppose I'm a Mrs and she'd be Miss while we had the same surname!

Hmm....didn't think about the fact that the 'word' within the initials would probably change after marriage!!

Thanks, any other thoughts?

My Mum had the initials FANS with her maiden name, upon marrying, she became FAB. She loves it. (Not sure if she had to reject all boyfriends with surnames beginning with T though... I will ask!!)
