What do you think of this ? My concerns are it might get shortened to Wally. Would that be so bad when so many boys are named William, and it gets shortened to Willy.

I would have the same concerns as you. I love the name Wallace but do think it would become Wally often. I know a couple of Williams but they get shortened to Will Smile

and Gromit? That would be my main concern.

And Gromit, No.

Just makes me think of Mel Gibson in Braveheart.

I knew a girl with this name, I always felt rather sorry for her! It would suit a boy more I suppose.

Kids will make a nickname out of anything and if you think he can live with Wally then crack on.
