Harry Potter names

Was just wondering whether to bother booking tickets to see HP (due next Sunday) and the likelihood that if we'd bought the tickets we would end up missing it/leaving halfway through as labour had started (tempted to book as I bet it'd be more effective than consuming the world's annual production of pineapple).

Someone commented that if I went into labour in the cinema I'd be duty bound to name DC2 after one of the characters. I commented that Rubeus is actually quite a nice name, other suggestions included Hermione and Nymphadora (perhaps not Hmm).

Are there any Harry Potter names (aside from the main 3 characters) that you like/could use?

i like myrtle. but i don't like that because of the way americans say fertile, they put the two together and say 'she's a furtel murtel. that puts me off the name a bit.

Bandwithering · 17/07/2011 23:12

jeannie is lovely.

Both I & DH love Myrtle, but it's my mum's default pet name IYSWIM - when I was growing up either I or one of my sisters would be called Myrtle, and now she's started doing it with DD. Don't want to actually use it and confuse her Wink

Jean's sweet but a little too close to MiL's name :)

There are loads of good names, some normal some unsual on the list (whoever compiled this list had far to much time on their hands.)
