Can't choose a boys name :(

I really need some help as I can't think of any boys names that I love.

My surname is one syllable and begins with R. My dh loves the name Ryan. I don't hate it but don't think it sounds nice with surname.

A lot of the names I liked initially were vetoed by Dh as he once knew someone called that and they were 'insert random reason the person was to be disliked'.

Only 6 weeks to go and really need to come up with a short list. Help!

Thank you for all the suggestions. Smile

If he persists in being unreasonable, he will end up being not listened to Grin

And he would only have himself to blame!

If dd had been a boy she would have been William David, but also like James and Jonathan too :)

Ryan is also a naughty boy's name- ask any teacher!

I like Duncan and Alexander out of the ones people have named so far. I get the impression you're celtic?? Is it important to hark back to his roots or are you just after a good name? I've always liked Euan.

I want to call my boy Felix Edward Axel. Edward was my father's middle name and Axel is one of my husband's middle names and means we can express his scandinavian roots, but Felix I just like.

I agree with suzi. Alexander is an excellent choice. Baby2b, there are a ton of name sites. Have you tried any of those?

Baby2b · 12/07/2011 12:05

Oh, thanks whizzy. I have only ever taught girls and know which names are 'naughty' Grin

Alexander is already taken in my family.

Had a good chat with dh last night and we are going to have a fresh look at the baby name lists tonight.
