Alice Deborah or Alice Daisy?

Both MN are family names. I guess Alice Deborah would be a more unusual choice these days but Alice Daisy is cute.

Which would you go for>

Deborah. Far nicer than Daisy.

PaperBank · 10/07/2011 08:59

Both lovely :) I'd go for Daisy, but I also like Deborah.

mollschambers · 10/07/2011 09:03

Don't like Alice and Daisy together so Alice Deborah for me.

NorksAreMessy · 10/07/2011 09:06

Ooh, Deborah is well overdue a revival, it's lovely.

Daisy is quite common in the under 10s round here (also the name of my Yorkshire Terrier)

i would be keener on Deborah Alice..for the same reasons (not the yorkshire terrier bit, but there are lots of Alices too)

Deborah. Middle names tend not to get shortened so this is a good way to use the lovely Deborah if you happened to be less keen on Debbie or Debs. Flows well together I think

GwendolineMaryLacey · 10/07/2011 14:57

Alice Deborah. Or preferably Deborah Alice :)

mandoo · 10/07/2011 15:02

Daisy. have you though of any others? I love Alice Rose

pinkhebe · 10/07/2011 15:03

Alice deborah sounds lovely

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/07/2011 17:34

I like Daisy better than Deborah but I think Deberoh sounds better with Alice - Alice Daisy combines two names that are too similar imho.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/07/2011 17:35

DeborAh

PrincessScrumpy · 10/07/2011 20:32

I like Daisy but not keen on Deborah. Alice is going to be our dd's name - just not sue whether to make it 1st name or nn. I'll start a thread... Grin

Domesticbodess · 10/07/2011 20:45

I think Alice Daisy is lovely.

DownyEmerald · 10/07/2011 20:53

I don't think Daisy goes with Alice. Isn't there some rule about not repeating the number of syllables? I like Alice Deborah.

pilates · 10/07/2011 21:14

Alice Daisy, Deborah is awful.

manicinsomniac · 10/07/2011 22:41

Definitely Alice Daisy. Daisy is timeless but Deborah ages a person firmly into the 60s and 70s.

PaperBank · 10/07/2011 22:45

Deborah is a great classic name. Deborah was a prophetess in the Bible and was the only female judge in the history of Israel. The name means "bee".

Thank you; I really am warming to Alice Deborah. It does sound rather nice! DH's favourite too so would keep him quiet.
