Help please!!

Cannot agree on a name for our second son, due any day.

We already have an Alfie.

Any preference?

Harrison

meditrina · 02/07/2011 22:09

I love Joshua. Oliver is fine (doesn't do it for me, but a perfectly good name). I don't like Harrison (sorry) and it has quite a different 'feel' to the other two.

PrincessJenga · 02/07/2011 23:10

I love Joshua.

razzlebathbone · 02/07/2011 23:25

I can't stand Harrison. Oliver is just sooo popular. I'd go for Joshua.

DancingWind · 03/07/2011 18:04

I like Joshua. Goes well with Alfie too.

pilates · 03/07/2011 20:19

Oliver and Joshua.

Harrison is awful, sorry.

SloganLogan · 03/07/2011 20:29

Joshua or Oliver. Harrison too surnamey.

Do you have a middle name in mind? Do Joshua and Oliver both fit well with your surname, and the initials don't spell anything undesirable?

sparkle12mar08 · 04/07/2011 11:17

Joshua.

Oliver and Harrison are ten a penny where I live so I wouldn't ever consider them, even though Oliver is beautiful and classical.

Cattleprod · 04/07/2011 11:29

Harrison is horrible, it doesn't look or sound good at all.

Oliver is nice, and I like Ollie, but it's a shame it's so popular. That would put me off.

Josh is the nicest I think. Not sure about the ua.

yousankmybattleship · 04/07/2011 11:36

Joshua is lovely, Oliver nice, Harrison terrible - in my opinion!

kreecherlivesupstairs · 04/07/2011 11:49

To narrow it down, may I suggest you consider Duncan, alternatively, Adrian.

bigbluebump · 04/07/2011 11:49

I'm not keen on any (but then I wouldn't have chosen Alfie either Smile) but as you're looking for opinions I'd have to agree that Harrison sounds too surnamey, Oliver is overused which leaves Joshua.

sonniebonnie · 04/07/2011 12:06

The -ua at the end of Joshua sounds a little feminine imo.

Harrison is ok but Oliver/Ollie was the most popular boys name last year I think.
