Partner and I cannot decide between the two. Leo not short for anything and Louis pronounced like the Kings.

Opinions please!

Leo.

Iwantscallops · 30/06/2011 23:43

Leo

Bubbaluv · 30/06/2011 23:48

Leo. Great name. Masculine without sounding too hard. Cool but not flakey. Traditional but not frumpy.

I also like Louis, but would get sick of people pronouncing it American style.

Edmundo · 30/06/2011 23:48

Louis.

Louis feels much classier than Leo.

They are both lovely! Good choice

Louis. My nephew has same name but spelt Lewie.

effingwotnots · 01/07/2011 08:11

Leo. Much classier IMO

Def Louis, can't get the picture of Leo Sayer out of my head.

pinkgirlythoughts · 01/07/2011 09:57

I'd go with Leo, to avoid the 'is it loo-ee or loo-iss?' confusion.

Quenelle · 01/07/2011 10:24

Louis.

I adore it.

I would use Louie, so it doesn't get pronounced Lewis.

JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 01/07/2011 10:38

I know several boys named Louis - all secondary school age - I don't think any of them have ever faced the pronunciation issue. And if they did, how big a problem would it actually be? I can't imagine it being that bothersome.

I do like Leo though.

Feck - they're both lovely. Stick 'em in a hat. Toss a coin. Use both ("Loooeeeeleo") Wink

Quenelle · 01/07/2011 10:40

Or Leouis.

yoshiLunk · 01/07/2011 10:46

Love LEO

Dont love Louis, having said that if you are going to use it spell it Louie as some ignorant people will say it incorrectly. Wink

CherryDrops · 01/07/2011 11:01

Leo, much nicer IMO.

Hedwig3 · 01/07/2011 11:06

Louis as in Louis Armstrong Smile

SloganLogan · 01/07/2011 11:25

Leo

mich54321 · 01/07/2011 21:44

Leo is lovely

wigglesrock · 01/07/2011 22:01

I love Leo, it was my boys name, just had dd3 Grin

spiderlight · 01/07/2011 22:25

My OH is a Louis and it's never pronounced wrongly, although people occasionally spell it Louie (which he hates!) I also know a lovely baby Louis and a lovely nursery-aged Leo and a lovely Leon, but Louis is my favourite.
