I'm not even pregnant but can't help thinking of names for when we start trying.

I absolutely adore Henry at the minute but I don't know if it seems very old fashioned. I don't know any children called Henry.

What do you think?

pepperrabbit · 30/06/2011 22:21

I have a Henry! Always liked the name.
I also know a younger Henry but that's all we've met.

emmyloo2 · 01/07/2011 07:22

ADORE it!! Front runner for DS2 if I ever have one. We have DS1 called George.

Henry is one of my favourite names.

mo3d · 01/07/2011 09:53

Henry is a lovely name.

My friends boy is called Henry, and he's lovely too! Smile

pinkgirlythoughts · 01/07/2011 09:54

I think it's likely to get very popular- it's a classic, old-fashioned sounding name, which are very in vogue at the moment. I wanted Henry for my six-week old son (DP said no :(), and a colleague who is pregnant at the moment is also trying to convince her husband to use it for their son.

Awomancalledhorse · 01/07/2011 09:56

Love it! We already have a young Henry in the family so won't use it.

miamama09 · 01/07/2011 10:24

love it! but DH says it reminds him of Henry Hoover. which happens to be our hoover, and says he can't get this out of his head whenever he hears this name. thanks for ruining that one for me DH!

Kayzr · 01/07/2011 10:38

We have a Henry hoover too. I was watching Thomas the tank engine with DS2 and thought Henry was great. I love it.

My Henry actually has a Henry hoover hat, saves all that pesky labelling...

Becci1 · 01/07/2011 18:53

My Henry is in Year 1 and he has another in his class. I have 3 boys and LOVE the name Henry!!

PippiLongBottom · 01/07/2011 19:20

Its lovely! I have three children of very different age groups and I don't know any Henry's.

BornToFolk · 01/07/2011 19:23

I've got one! He's lovely! Grin
There's another Henry at nursery but other than that, we haven't met another child called Henry.
Be warned though, loads of people call him Harry by mistake...

missmiss · 01/07/2011 19:23

Love it. I know a few teenage Henrys, but no small ones.

lalabaloo · 02/07/2011 21:19

lazylula · 02/07/2011 22:04

Lovely name, our friends have a 7 month old called Henry!

freyamalaya · 02/07/2011 22:11

Henry was on the very shortlist for our ds - a great name but it has become so popular that it put us off, (I know 4 under 3 years old) wouldn't be surprised to see this in top 10 boys names soon!
