Lila or Lilah....

opinions on best way to spell this appreciated - pronounced Lie-la

thinking of it as an alternative to Laila as it was suggested on a previous thread and i think it might be a little less popular than laila.

i know it can also be Lyla but i don't like this spelling.

The other name on our list is Eliza.....am i pushing it thinking of having Lila as a nn for Eliza and having the best of both worlds....i'm sure i've heard Lila as a nn for Eliza but i could be wrong.....

I like Eliza and don't think that lila as a nn is unreasonable. But then I've got a Lydia with a nn Lula dn another dd with the totally unrelated nn of Bob.

Tbh I you say their name is x but her nn is y people do accept it dd1 is Emily but has been Milly since she was 3 days old.

only problem is most people will pronounce Lila as Lee-la not Lie-la.

Lilah, that's how i spelt it on my list, because it was after Lilah Morgan from Angel. sounds too much like my sons name though so didnt use.

I like Lila but would pronounce it Leela

Lilah I would automatically pronounce the way you have said
