Today we like. . . Nina. I have only met one in RL and she was lovely. No idea how common it is at the moment. Any thoughts?

RickGhastley · 16/06/2011 18:19

Love this name! It is very cool and would suit a person of any age.

PamBeesly · 16/06/2011 18:43

DialMforMummy · 16/06/2011 19:08

love it

scarlettsmummy2 · 16/06/2011 19:12

i really like it. I know an eleven year old Nina and she is lovely- very chilled and cool as suggested by rickghastly

bigbadbarry · 16/06/2011 19:18

Gorgeous and unusual while still being a proper name :)

TheCountessOlenska · 16/06/2011 19:20

I very much like! I know a lovely adult Nina but I haven't heard it on the toddler group circuit.

I really like this name, I think it would suit you at all stages in your life.

puzzletree · 16/06/2011 19:55

my sister is a Nina and she is indeed very lovely, and much cooler than me.

TeacupTempest · 16/06/2011 19:59

Love it! Unusual, classy, not babyish. Go for it!

Mollydoggerson · 16/06/2011 20:32

Another one loving it, I like Christina so Nina for short

MEBMotherof3 · 16/06/2011 20:46

I know an adult called Janina who shortens it to Nina. Love both versions and have only met one toddler called Nina in the last 5 years

iskra · 17/06/2011 22:33

I love it. My 3 yo DD is called Nina & we haven't met another one.

crochetcircle · 18/06/2011 10:55

I love it. Much better than all the Victorian maid's names that are in vogue at the moment.

No idea how common it is as I'm a first time mum but one of my NCT group has just called her daughter Nina Rose.

chaya5738 · 18/06/2011 13:44

Love it. It is one of my favourites but doesn't go with our surname.

Larold · 18/06/2011 19:49

isnt nina short for janine ?

pointydog · 18/06/2011 19:57

I like it. ONly know one.

spottyock · 19/06/2011 11:17

I'm sorry - I am going to buck the trend and say I don't like it. I am swayed by a Nina I know who is probably the most annoying person I have ever encountered.

lostinindia · 19/06/2011 11:19

Immediately thought of Nina and the neurons. Don't like it.

ninah · 19/06/2011 11:21

ooh another thread. is really a marmite name, innit?

sunray73 · 21/06/2011 00:23

I have a 5yr old Nina. We have never met another. It's the name I decided to call my 'future' daughter when I was 14! I have never regretted choosing it, I think it's a beautiful name that suits all ages. My Nina is comedic, feisty & cool x

Lovely name!

bejbus · 21/06/2011 23:10

I don't like that. It's a popular name in Poland for 50-65's ladies. I have 3 aunties ;-)
