Does Henry make you think "Hooray Henry'?

I really like the name Henry for a boy, but a few people have pointed out the old 'Hooray Henry' connotations.
This never crossed my mind, so I was wondering hat the mn jury think.

Thank you for all the replies. I am more convinced now with Henry!
I do like Agatha as a possible alternative to Tabitha but not keen on Taggie - getting too close to Tiggy!
I know a Ticky (Patricia) which is quite nice.
Also Miriam holds some appeal.
It's a good job I've still got 6 months to procrastinate!

Do like the name but yes associate with hooray henry (bit like tallyho tarquin, but not so much) and of course... Hoover :( But is on my shortlist :)

PegPolkadot · 13/06/2011 20:55

I have got a horrid Henry Grin

SloganLogan · 13/06/2011 23:26

Miriam is lovely :) Agatha is rather harsh.

zozzle · 15/06/2011 16:45

A bit for me still yes, but I think that will lessen as it becomes more popular.

birdofthenorth · 15/06/2011 18:55

I'd consider Henry for a future DS. More worried about Horrid Henry (v popular with nephews!) than Hooray!

5DollarShake · 15/06/2011 19:15

Um...

Taggie...? Hmm

Just no.

pointydog · 15/06/2011 19:31

yes, I think along those lines.

I don't know any Henrys though.

Bandwitch · 15/06/2011 20:04

No. There are more daring/try hard and 'posher' names.

topazmcgonagall · 17/06/2011 01:54

not "hooray" any more.

Tabitha is lovely. I don't like Agatha at all, sorry.

DH wanted to name our baby Henry if it was a boy. After the vacuum cleaner. Fortunately we had a girl. I think Henry and Tabitha are both great names.
